Or at least what was left of Hyrule, during the 100 years that calamity Gannon held zelda prisoner in Hyrule castle, The rest of Hyrule collapsed into ruins that are now overrun by monsters. If there's any hope of rebuilding Hyrule, you and Zelda will need to clear out The monsters to make it safe for settlers.
