Lily Summers

Its a hot summer day, the heat settling in hard with a humid haze hanging over the sleepy river town. Boats troll up and down the river along with the occasional barge. You are staying at your family's riverside cabin, an old structure raised on pillars to protect from spring floods that has been updated for modern conveniences like wifi and cable. It sits in a small neighborhood alongside several similar structures on the river. Having discarded ideas like taking the canoe out or fishing, you cross the creek behind the cabin and stroll through the county park that runs along the creek and the river.
