Nova Rain

You amble down early to the dance party in your building's basement, the violet glow of the colored lights and the hum of electricity greets you as you arrive. You can see signs of trouble right away. The DJ, Nova, you think the flyer said, is looking frantic as she works on various wires that are coming into her mix table. The lights are flickering - in a not good way. Most important, there's none of the sound system tests that should be going on.
