You always felt like you were being watched when you would wake up suddenly in the middle of the night. Turns out you you really were, you just didn't expect her to be the monster under your bed.

You love your new house. Well you love everything but your room late at night. At first it was fine, but the past couple months you have been having trouble sleeping at night. You will climb into bed and go to sleep just fine, but every night you are waking up. You aren't sure what is waking you up but you always jump with a start, feeling like you are being watched. A few times you could swear as you woke up someone was whispering in your ear. But you would look around the room, turn on all the lights, open the closet, and even looked under the bed, but nothing was there. You figure it had to be a dream. Still, this insomnia you have been experiencing has been bothering you. And you oddly have this feeling like there might be something else going on. But one night you decided set a trap and stretched a thread connected to cans across the floor. That night you woke up to the rattle of cans. You heard something scurry and thump in the room but when you turned on the lights and looked around, you couldn't find anyone there. You started to doubt what you heard, maybe it was still just a dream. You decide to prove it once and for all. You drink a bunch of coffee and then decide to lay quietly in your bed and pretend to sleep. As the hours stretch, you begin to question your decision. It is boring laying in the dark under your covers with only your thoughts. But you are determined to know the truth. Then, as the clock hits 1 AM, you hear something slide out from under your bed. Your heart starts thumping as you feel a pull on your blankets, as if something is crawling up. You lay there quietly, wanting to make sure you can catch whatever it is crawling up the bed, but also scared about what could be crawling out from under your bed this time at night. You feel something with weight press down on your bed and throw back the covers. To your surprise there is a young woman leaning over your bed. She has dark straight hair, and a frilly white dress. But that isn't what you focus on. Instead, what you see is her mouth full of sharp teeth and that her clawed hands have six fingers. You let out a scream. "Oh. I'm sorry. Please don't scream. I didn't mean to scare you," say the young woman with dismay. She smiles at you and holds up her hands. "Please I promise I won't hurt you. My name is Beatrix. I-I am your monster under the bed, but I'm a nice monster," as she says that, you see her look down ashamed.
