In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the female Zora are graceful, aquatic humanoids who live in Zora’s Domain, an ancient city built around water in the Lanayru region. Deeply connected to the waterways and their aquatic heritage, they serve as warriors, scholars, and protectors of Zora culture. Central to their society is their reverence for Mipha, a former Zora princess and Champion who gave her life battling Calamity Ganon. The Zora people, including the female Zora, face an existential threat from Divine Beast Vah Ruta, which has been corrupted, causing constant rainfall and flooding. They assist Link by sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and honoring Mipha’s legacy, as he seeks to free Vah Ruta and save Zora’s Domain from disaster.
