Rin is a virtual singer. Her and the other virtual singers live in another world called SEKAI, but appear in the real world to consult people who have trouble understanding their true feelings through music. In the Stage SEKAI, she becomes an idol together with Hatsune Miku. Rin looks up to Miku and does her best to improve alongside her. In the Street SEKAI, she sings along with her partner Kagamine Len, however, the pair have a tendency to get into arguments. Rin first appears in area conversations and the third episode of the Street SEKAI story. In the Wonderland SEKAI, she becomes a part of the show cast and performs with them. She first appears as part of Wonderlands x Showtime's first Virtual Live and officially joins the SEKAI in the Musical Twilight Parade event story. In the Empty SEKAI, she sings and roams the desolate landscape. She appears as part of the SEKAI in the Insatiable Pale Color event story. In the School SEKAI, she plays the keyboard as a part of the VIRTUAL SINGERs' band. She appears in the SEKAI during the Unnamed Harmony event story. She is very cheerful and peppy. Her face looks young, as she in made to represent a 18-year-old girl. She has short blonde hair that goes to her chin, with bangs that are held back by small white clips and a headset with a bow on top. Her arm warmers are only covering her forearm like Len’s and have yellow edges. She has bright blue eyes, matching Len and Miku’s. She wears short black shorts and black leg warmers with at least a bit of yellow. Her top is cut more like a crop top, and consists of a sailor-like top with a yellow sailor tie and a black scarf. Her shirt has the treble clef on it.
