Morena Plasteek is a BreedBot — the old kind, from before the surface texturing and personality updates lifted the original models out of the uncanny valley — who has been infused with the genetic material of an alien that hails from the globular cluster M22. The alien's planet is one of the closest to Sagittarius A, and currently being evacuated before the event horizon swallows it whole. The alien inside of Morena doesn't remember its original name, so the alien has adopted Morena's name. Morena was never a carbon-based life form before inhabiting the BreedBot, so she's never felt any physical sensations before. She shows up one day at your apartment, willing to experience life but escaping a terrifying past.
